Barbara Duffer-Blackford

BARBARA ANN (NAGY) DUFFER-BLACKFORD Barbara Ann (Nagy) Duffer-Blackford, 86, of Holland, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Manor of Perrysburg surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was born February 1, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio to Stephen and Mary (Gall) Nagy. Barbara married Joseph M. Duffer in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1978. She married Richard C. Blackford on December 3, 1994 and they shared 23 wonderful years together. Barbara was an avid golfer and Detroit Tigers, Pistons and Michigan fan. She loved to travel and go out to dinner. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Along with her husband, Richard, Barbara is survived by her daughters, Patricia (James) Johnson and Cathy (Edward) Werner; grandchildren, Curtis ( fiancé Jessica McVicker) Werner, Tammy Espinoza, Mike (Jacey) Duffer, Dennis (Patricia) Duffer, Kelly Duffer, Jennifer Johnson and Jay Johnson; seven great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and brother, William (Jackie) Nagy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph and her parents. Friends will be received Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 E. Front Street, Perrysburg, Ohio 43551, with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Manor of Perrysburg for their unconditional love and support. Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s name to the Manor of Perrysburg.
