Barbara Jean Condon

Barbara Condon, age 75, of Toledo, passed away Sunday November 7, 2010, in her residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born September 10, 1935, in Toledo to Royce and Lillian Ayers Russell. An estimator for the former Toledo Printing in which her husband was a partner, Barbara was a member of GCU Local 2/289. Barbara also served as a Campfire Girl Leader and poll worker. She was a voracious reader, and passed that passion along to her daughters. The widow of Thurman Condon she is survived by daughters, Cathleen L. Steve Aleshire LaPlante, Karen J. Bruce Lowe and Christine M. Steve Chapman; grandchildren, Erica, Rebecca, Nate, and Zach; sisters, Susan Ken Sweeney-Case, Beverly Lutz Kuntz; and brothers, Melvin Ann Russell and Dennis Mary Ann Russell. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. on Thursday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will begin Friday at 9:15 followed by the Mass of the Resurrection at 10 AM in Little Flower Church.
