Averala Ann Poucher, beloved wife, mother, and dedicated bus driver, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at the age of 89, after a life filled with love, service, and lasting memories. Born on February 18, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, Ann touched the lives of many throughout her years, embodying kindness and resilience.Ann devoted her life to her family and her work, and she will be remembered fondly by her loving husband of 65 years, Howell Poucher Sr. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering dedication to those she cared for left a mark on all who knew her.

After graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in Business, Ann went to work as an Executive Confidential Secretary for the head of Wages and Salary, handling all kinds of confidential information for Jeep for 10 years. Later, Ann found joy in driving bus for special needs children, a role that not only brought her fulfillment but also connected her to her community in meaningful ways.

Ann is survived by her husband, Howell Sr., and their son, Howell Poucher Jr; she is preceded by her daughter, Averala Marcine; and her parents. Family and friends will gather for a funeral service at Ohio Living Swan Creek Chapel, 5916 Cresthaven Lane, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 10 am. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
