Authie Meek

Authie Bill Meek Jr., 65, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Friday, October 9, 2009 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Home, Port Clinton, OH. Authie was born on November 12, 1943 in Paintsville, KY to Authie and Alpha Brooks Meek. Authie loved golfing, music and dancing, refinishing furniture and antiques. He will be missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Brothers: Leonard Meek, Jerry Vess; Son: Gregory Meek; Daughters: Pamela Todd Delagrange, Tammy Robert Tuggle; Grandchildren: Stephanie, Heather, Lia and Anthony Tuggle, Jennifer, Amber and Hope Delagrange, Penny Sharpton; Great-grandchildren: Tristyn; Special Aunt: Minnie Lou; Nephews: Brian, David, Brad, Jeff and Tony Meek and Jerry Vess Jr. Authie was preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Meek and sister Irene Vess. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-7PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Port Clinton. A memorial service will be conducted at 7 PM in the funeral home, following the gathering. Burial will be in Catawba Island Cemetery at a later date.
