Audrey Naomi (Bueche) Entenman died May 13, 2016. Audrey considered life a beautiful journey of blessings from Christ Jesus, whom she accepted at eight as her very best Friend and Savior through life. She considered her first blessing being raised in a Christian home. Born September 25, 1926 to Helen and Wesley Bueche, she was greatly influenced by both parents, Grandmother Bueche, and aunts and uncles, all of whom lived in her neighborhood and attended the same church. Her second blessing was being nurtured in Zion Evangelical Church with its many opportunities for learning, training and serving. She loved summer church camp, first as a camper and later as a counselor. She introduced Toledo to Vacation Bible School when she was only fifteen, and started the first Bible study at DeVilbiss High School. She attended prayer services, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, served on committees and as youth director (her greatest passion). Her third blessing was her courtship with and marriage to Donald F. Entenman, and raised three sons on the sixteen acres known as Bueche Greenhouse and Garden Center. Her fourth blessing was work, first selling flowers from the familys greenhouse to local florists, then managing Bueches. She operated her own business, Old Gilead Country Store and Post Script Card Shop, in Grand Rapids, OH. Her fifth blessing was giving back to the community through membership in Zonta Club for professional women, and participation on the Toledo Crime Commission. Later, she and her husband Don helped restore historic Grand Rapids. Her final blessing was joining her Friend and Savior for all eternity. Audrey is survived by three sons, Rev Donald E. Entenman of Kewaunee, WI, Douglas F. (Stephanie) Entenman of Fostoria and Richard A. Entenman of Toledo; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including Judy Entenman, Jan Entenman and Marlene Flory. She cherished her relationships with Peggy and Tim Bublick, Michael and Tina Lamale, Pat and Steve Krider and Dave LaRoe. She was deeply grateful to those who gave her such loving care during the later years of her illness, especially Dr. Richard Paat and the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Private graveside services and burial will be held at Beaver Creek Cemetery, Grand Rapids, and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. Gifts of remembrance can be made to the Church of St. Andrew United Methodist, 3620 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614 or the addiction recovery program of the Salvation Army.
