Audrey Marie Eberle passed peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on January 18, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1925 to Charles and Sarah (Dusseau) Morrissey. Audrey was a 1943 graduate of Central Catholic High School. On April 17, 1948 she and Herman Eberle were married. He preceded her in death in 1966. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughter Charline Ann, sister Charline Ann Morrissey, brother Robert Morrissey, and son in law Patrick Antonetti.
Audrey was a secretary with Toledo Public Schools for 28 years, retiring in 1991 from the administration building, only to return as a sub for another ten years. She was a member of SERS, Retired Secretaries Organization, AFSCME Retiree Group and was a former volunteer at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was very proud of her Irish heritage and traveled to Ireland on multiple occasions.
She is survived by her children Gary (Suzanne) Eberle, Deborah Antonetti (Patrick, deceased), Mary (John) Keener and grandchildren Molly Antonetti, Alison (Joe) Halpin, William (Maureen) Eberle, Annie (Dan) Koslow, Devon Antonetti, and Chris (Katelyn) Keener. She is survived by six great grandchildren and sister Sharon (Ron) Molnar.
Her greatest joy in life was her family, a pot of Irish tea and a good book.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Clement’s Church, 3030 Tremainsville Road, Toledo, 43613 on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will take place beginning at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
