Arturo Garza

Arturo Garza, 66, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Tuesday, November 04, 2014 at Windsor Lane Healthcare Rehab, Gibsonburg, OH, surrounded by his loving family. Arturo was born on September 20, 1948 in McAllen, TX, the son of Meliton and Juana (Guajardo) Garza. On December 28, 1968 in Port Clinton, he married Karen S. VanHoose and she survives. Arturo was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force. He was the owner/operator of Art’s Body Shop where he manufactured high performance bass boats for 30 years, retiring in 1995. Arturo enjoyed flying in his earlier years and he built remote control airplanes. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Survivors include: Wife: Karen S. Garza; Daughters: Rachel Garza and Sara Garza; Sons: Michael J. Garza, Brian (Cheryl) Garza, Jacob A. Garza and Jonathan J. Garza; Sisters: Maria (Bill) Mullins, Maria Alicia (Richard) Rogers, Anita Garza, Anjelina (Paul) Bailey and Adelina Garza; Brothers: Armando (Gloria) Garza, Jose Garza, Anzelmo (Kim) Garza and Aaron Garza and 13 Grandchildren. Arturo was preceded in death by his parents. A Graveside service will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, November 10, 2014 at Christy Chapel Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial donations in memory of Arturo may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Alzheimer’s Association or Heartland Hospice.
