Artie Mae Burton

Artie Mae Burton, 88, of Holland, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Spring Meadows Extended Care in Holland. She was born on August 28, 1925 in Ashland Kentucky to Arthur and Mary Blanton and she married Bennett W. Burton on June 29, 1943 in Scioto County, Ohio. Artie was an avid reader and enjoyed watching baseball. She participated in many bowling leagues and liked to camp. Artie also loved spending time and playing with her children and family. Artie is survived by her loving children, Bennett R. (Helen) Burton, James A. (Sue) Burton, Diane (Russ “Pete”) Herroon, Rebecca S. (Larry) Willeman, Steven B. (Debra) Burton and John A. Burton, twenty grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mary, husband, Bennett and son, Anthony H. “Tony” Burton. Friends will be received on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879) where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
