Arthur Ervin Rose II

February 24, 1953 — February 12, 2026

Arthur Ervin Rose II, 72, passed away on February 12, 2026. Born in Toledo, Ohio and living most of his life in Oak Harbor, Art lived a life defined by perseverance, humor, and an outlook that could brighten any room he entered.

Art dedicated many years to the manufacturing industry, most notably with Crescent Manufacturing, where he earned a reputation for his strong work ethic, reliability, and mechanical skill. He also spent time working as a mechanic for several area automobile dealerships. Art possessed a practical wisdom and determination that shaped his life and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He firmly believed in hard work, resilience, and staying positive-values he faithfully passed on to his family.

He especially enjoyed hands-on projects, scenic drives, fishing, car shows, Amish country outings, and attending bluegrass concerts at Gypsum Crossing. A proud car enthusiast, the Chevrolet bow tie emblem was a symbol that always brought a smile to his face. Known for his contagious positivity, Art had a gift for making people laugh wherever he went. Even through multiple battles with cancer, he remained one of the most upbeat and encouraging people anyone could encounter, reminding others to "never give up and stay positive."

Art is survived by his sons, Arthur Rose III and Joshua Rose; his beloved grandson, Dominic Rose; his daughter-in-law, Brandy Rose; and his siblings, Donald Rose, Bonnie Wadsworth, Rick Rose, and Deborah Jess. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Deloris (Heilman) Rose.

Family and friends will remember Art as funny, passionate, and uplifting-a man who made people smile and laugh wherever he went and whose optimism will continue to inspire those who loved him.

A Celebration of Life for Art will be held at the Salem Township Hall in Oak Harbor at noon on March 7th, where loved ones will gather to share stories and honor the life and legacy of a man who touched many hearts. Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa, OH is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
