Arthur J. Heilman, 58, of Genoa, died unexpectedly Saturday morning, April 6, 2019, at Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo. Art was born August 10, 1960, in Genoa, Ohio, to George A. and Rose Marie (Lehman) Heilman. On September 15, 1979, in Genoa he married Patricia A. Wick and she survives. Art worked as a machinist in ship repair for H. Hansen Industries in Toledo for the past three but had worked as a machinist his entire working life. He was a member of Foundation Stone Christian Church in Northwood. Art loved to bow hunt, loved bowling, mushroom hunting, fishing and gardening, but he especially loved his grandchildren and his dogs. In addition to his wife, Patty, Art is survived by his father, George Heilman, his sons, Kevin (Amanda) M. Heilman and Art (Lindsey) J. Heilman, Jr.; grandchildren, Rose Rayanne Heilman, Jacob Alan Heilman and Jocelyn Lucile Heilman; and siblings, Glenda (Randy) McDaniel, Mark (Penny) Heilman, Beth (Ron) DeVries, Stephen (Cindy) Heilman and Frank (Karen) Heilman. His mother, Rose Marie Heilman, and step mother, Rosemarie Ann Heilman preceded him in death. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2019, at Foundation Stone Christian Church, Northwood, where the memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Following the service there will be a gathering and meal at the church. The family has requested that there be no flowers. Memorials for Art may be given to Foundation Stone Christian Church, 4532 Woodville Rd., Northwood, OH 43619; or the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Dr. Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
