Arthur F. Benadum, 70, of Genoa, died Friday, February 5, 2010, in Mercy-St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio. Art was born May 8, 1939, in Genoa, Ohio, to Craig and Freida Stroshine Benadum. On February 23, 1962, in Monroe, Michigan, he married Paula M. Lorenzen and she survives. Art worked for more than 20 years as an electrician for Owens-Illinois, Westwood Ave., in Toledo and also traveled for the company. In 1990 he retired after five years from Dana Corporation. Art served in the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. He attended Main Street Church in Moline. He was a member of the Genoa Masonic Lodge and a past member of Hidden Hills Golf Club, Sugar Creek Golf Club and the Oak Harbor Golf Club. He enjoyed bowling and had bowled at Tri-County in Woodville, Thursday night mens league. He also bowled in Toledo for the Travel Classics. Art enjoyed playing Euchre several times a week with family and friends. He especially loved going to his grandchildrens sporting events. In addition to his wife, Paula, Art is survived by his sons, Michael Benadum of Genoa and Mark Cindy Benadum of Martin, daughter, Michelle Benadum of Williston, grandchildren, Austin, Gavan, Jordan, and Alec and his sister, Carol Gerald Purney of Clay Center. His parents preceded him in death. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2010, with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Genoa. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park, Perrysburg. The family has requested memorials for Art to Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #3, Genoa, or the Luther Home of Mercy, Williston.
