Arnold Eugene Arnie Spitznogle, 64, of Monclova Twp, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 6, 2013, after a courageous and brave 6 year battle with cancer. Arnie was born June 26, 1949 in Waynesburg, PA., the son of Lloyd and Norene Walls Spitznogle. He attended Penn State University and graduated with a BS in Aerospace Engineering. Arnie served his country as a Navy officer, working in the legal department in Penscola FL. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Arnie went to work for Duquesne Light Co. at the Beaver Valley One Nuclear Power Plant in Shippingport PA. In 1980, he moved to Lima, Ohio to work for Standard Oil of Ohio at the Vistron Chemical Plant. In 1992, he transferred to the BP Oil Refinery in Oregon, Ohio where he was employed until his passing. Arnie was a member of Monclova Road Baptist Church. He was an avid woodworker and coin collector. He took great comfort in reading the Bible. One thing he will be greatly remembered for was his wealth of obscure facts in nearly any subject.
