Arlene V. (Schramm) Stegman, 89, of Perrysburg passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 peacefully at Heartland of Perrysburg. She was born August 31, 1929 in Perrysburg to Carl and Helen (Merrick) Schramm. Arlene married David Stegman on May 13, 1967 and he preceded her in death in 2017. Arlene was a member of Grace Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years and actively helped the Perrysburg Christians United Food Bank. She was involved in various Bridge and Euchre Card Clubs over the years, was a member of the 577 Foundation’s Garden Club, and loved going to the Way Public Library every Friday to pick up books. Affectionately known as “Ike” by her siblings, Arlene came from a large family and she loved spending time with everyone. That love of family also transferred to a love of her neighborhood at Village at River Place. Arlene is survived by her children, Eric (Shannon) Stegman, Chris (Bill) Conklin, Mike (Mary Beth McCreery) Stegman and Linda (Fred) Willis; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; siblings, Marcelle (Ray) Hahn, John (Zella) Schramm, Joe (Nancy) Schramm; sister-in-law, Madeleine Kock; brother-in-law, Dick Savial, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, David; son, Tom Ross; and siblings, Marge Savial, Dick Schramm, Carol (Lee) Mutchler and Tom Schramm. Friends will be received on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, OH 43551 (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at Noon at Grace Church, 601 East Boundary Street, Perrysburg, OH 43551, with Pastor Dan Gildner officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Meigs Union Cemetery. The family would also like to express their gratitude to Pastor Grace Brooks who visited Arlene often. Memorial contributions in Arlene’s name may be made to Grace Church, the Perrysburg Christians United Food Bank, or to the Way Public Library, ATTN: Lisa Richard - 101 E.
