Arlene Marie Shanner

Arlene M. Shanner, age 82 of Toledo passed away Sunday, June 8, 2012 in Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania. She was born May 27, 1930 in Evansville, Indiana to William and Edna Lilly. Arlene worked for Adrian College for 23 years and retired as Admissions Data System Manager in 1998. She enjoyed reading, ballroom dancing, cards and golf. Arlene was a member of Flower Hospital Auxiliary, Westchester Dance Club, the Elks Lodge 1805 and Epworth United Methodist Church. More than anything she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. The widow of Roger Shanner she was also preceded in death by her parents and brother William Lilly, Jr. Surviving is her daughter Donna Larry Beilman; son Dan Kim Shanner; treasured grandchildren Patrick and Sarah Beilman and Justine, Jason and Jenna Shanner; and sister Virginia Drozd. Friends may visit the family after 1 PM Thursday at Epworth United Methodist Church 3077 Valleyview Drive Toledo, Ohio where memorial services will begin at 2:30 PM.
