Arlene J. Eckel

Arlene J. Eckel, 75, of Perrysburg, OH died, Monday, January 27, 2014, in her home. She was born in Perrysburg on September 20, 1938 to Gilbert and Bernice (Goodman) VonEwegen. Arlene was first married to Donald R. Deppen who preceded her in death in 1960 and later to Lyle E. Eckel who preceded her in death in 1997. She is survived by son, Randy E. (Laura) Eckel of Perrysburg; daughters, Cynthia L. Mandell of Toledo and Denise S. Deppen of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Dawn M. Mandell, Chad W. Wagner, Adam L. Mandell, Lucas D. Wagner, Matthew J. Wagner, Jordan E. Eckel, Hunter B. Miller and Haleigh E. Miller; great-grandchildren, Austyn Cole, Brayden Mandell, Jayden Gibson, Abigail Mandell, Brooke Gibson and Dustin Mandell; sisters, Ila Mae Walczak and Lorna Jane (Olan) Deen both of Toledo. Friends will be received from 6-9 P.M. on Thursday and 1-9 P.M. on Friday at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue in the funeral home after 9:30 A.M. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Timothy P. Philabaum officiating.
