Ardith Olene Masters, 91, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Browning of Waterville surrounded by her loving family. Ardith was born March 10, 1927 in Napoleon, Ohio to Hugo H. and Naomi I. Saneholtz. She graduated from Liberty Center High School and married Robert M. Masters on May 22, 1948. Ardith dedicated her heart and soul to the care of her family and to supporting her friends and community. Each day was focused on prioritizing others needs above hers; she was generous with her time, always rescuing her family or friends when a day felt out of control. She was especially good with a crying baby and her presence and loving touch fixed any crisis. When she knew her friends and family were content for the day, she relentlessly pursued her passion to create with her hands and heart; she would make beautiful clothing and useful accessories to give to others to make their lives better. She was never without a knitting needle and yarn nearby, ready to fill any down time with the creation of gifts from her heart. She will be missed, dearly, but we are all prepared to carry on, with her life as a model, to our family and friends. Along with her husband, Robert of 70 years this month, Ardith is survived by her children Bruce (Regina) Masters, Susan (Loren) Dirr, Janet Masters, her grandchildren Stephen (Kathleen) Streicher, Sarah Streicher, Andrew Masters, Julia (Jacob) Halm, Caitlin Masters, Jaclyn (Andrew) Walker Ross, Jessica Walker and great-grandchildren Liam, Harrison and Emmett Halm, Zadie Streicher and her sister Mary (Jerry) Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents and six of her seven siblings. Friends will be received Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Visitation will continue, Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 1 p.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 200 W. Second Street, Perrysburg, Ohio, 43551, with Pastor Harry Kearns officiating. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made in Ardith’s name to Heartland Hospice or any organization of the Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be made online to the family at www.witzlershank.com.
