Antonio "Tony" Mendieta

Antonio, 95, of Perrysburg, OH died Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at The Manor of Perrysburg. He was born March 11, 1928 in Archbold, LA. He married Raquel “Rocky” (Lopez) Mendieta in Bowling Green, OH on December 23, 1950.

Tony was a truck driver for Willys/Jeep Corp. 35 years in Toledo. He was a member of St. Rose Parish in Perrysburg. Tony loved fishing and the great outdoors. Traveling, taking his family to beautiful sites.

They had 9 children, Stella (Don) Sekulski, Bobby Tony (Tina) of Colorado Springs, CO, Becky (Freddie) Ramirez of Perrysburg, Monica (David) of Houston, TX, Chris (Cheryl) of Toledo, Melinda of Toledo, Patricia (Robert) Ray of Pueblo, CO, Jessica (Irina) of W. Hollywood, CA and too many to list; five generations of grandchildren. Antonio was preceded in death by his wife Rocky of 73 years and children, Bobby, Monica and Chris; grandchildren, Chelsea (daughter of Tony and Tina), Donald Jr. (son of Don and Stella).

Funeral arrangements will be private and were entrusted to Witzler-Shank-Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary St., Perrysburg, OH. Resting place for Antonio will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Perrysburg.
