Anthony Mattoni

Anthony J. Mattoni, 43, formerly of Toledo passed away suddenly Sunday, November 29, 2009 in Key West, Florida. He was born October 14, 1966 in Toledo to Anthony and Barbara Mattoni. Tony attended Bowsher High School and received a Bachelors Degree in Education from the University of Toledo. He taught in the Toledo Public School System and Springfield School system. Surviving are his parents; his brothers, Michael and Timothy Mattoni; sister, Laurie Ann Peer; niece and God-child, Nicole Michael Mattoni Knight and Molly Elizabeth Mattoni; nephews, Nicholas Mattoni and Alex Mattoni; and grandfather, Peter J. Mattoni. Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Bertha Malohn and Frances Cipriani. Family and friends may visit Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Maumee. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Maumee. The family requests memorial contributions to the Humane Society or the Cherry Street Mission.
