Anthony Tony Bruno

Anthony Tony Bruno age 88 of Holland, Ohio passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at ProMedica Ebeid Hospice. Tony was born in Candida Avellino, Italy on November 19, 1928 to Nicola and Nicoletta. He was employed at the Andersons of Maumee in the Grain Operations for over 44 years and was known by many as Uncle Tony. Tony was a member of the National Italian Sports Hall of Fame; Bocce Ball Club and enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. Surviving is loving wife, Alfonsina (DAmore); children, Nick (Maureen) Bruno, Rose Bruno, Nicoletta Mary Bruno, Carol (Rick) Jones and Stanley (Tracey) Bruno; grandchildren, John, Ally (Tyler), Anthony, Nicolas, Vincent, Belle, Richard and Mia. Sister, Gina Ionna and brother, Romano Bruno. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, OH on Friday, May 12, 2017 from 2-9 PM with a scripture service to be held at 7:00 PM. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 AM followed by the funeral Mass at 12 Noon at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 6135 Hill Ave., Toledo.
