Annette L. Holcomb

Annette L. Holcomb, 76, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025, at Riverview Senior Healthcare Campus, in Oak Harbor, where she had been for several years. Born in Port Clinton, Ohio on March 1, 1949, she was the daughter of Richard and Helen (Schultz) Moore.

Annette had a wonderful childhood, growing up on the family farm, Moore’s Orchard, outside of Oak Harbor. She spent many years as a nurse’s aide at the Riverview Senior Healthcare Campus in Oak Harbor. She had also worked for the Village of Put-In-Bay. She was long-time member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor and was active in the Altar Guild, along with other church activities. Annette, being the mother of twins, was active for many years in the Port Clinton Mother of Twins Club, receiving the Mother of the Year award for 1995 and 2013, She also enjoyed working the annual fundraisers for the club, at the Ottawa County Fair.

During her retirement she enjoyed her daily trip to get a cup of coffee and her newspaper along with crocheting blankets for friends and family. Working in her yard was relaxation for her as well, tending her flower gardens of Geraniums and Alyssum, and her favorite chore, mowing grass! Before Annette fell ill, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and they will miss her so much. They made so many fun memories together that they will cherish forever.

Annette is survived by her son Nathan and his wife Felisha, daughter, Melissa LaPrade, grandchildren, Amber and Kaitlyn LaPrade, and Gabriella Holcomb, sister, Carol Benner and her husband, Michael, brother, James and his wife Donna Moore, and sister-in-law, Karla Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Steven Moore.

Visitation for Annette will be held from 5 – 8 PM, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, Ohio. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church, 122 W. Ottawa St., Oak Harbor followed by interment in the Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor.
