Anna B. Nussdorfer

Anna (Backer) Nussdorfer, age 90, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania. She was born January 23, 1926 in Muskegon, MI to Carter James and Goldie Lavern Backer, eldest sister to Shirley and Donna. She was a graduate of Muskegon class of 1944 and Western Michigan University class of 1957. Ann Taught k-12 for over 35 years. She married William Robert Bob Nussdorfer and they enjoyed 63 years together. Ann has been a resident in Muskegon, Fort Wayne, Greenville and most recently Toledo. She was a longtime Methodist and a member of Muskegon Central United Methodist Church. A women before her time, she was an outspoken advocate of the political issues and her biggest regret may be her inability to sway the important Ohio presidential election this year. She is survived by her children, Terry Nussdorfer, Susan Hill; grandson, James (Kristina) Hill; great grandchildren, Kyle and Emily Nussdorfer. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Central United Methodist Church 1011 2nd Street Muskegon, MI 49440. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association. Arrangements were entrusted to Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. Toledo, OH.
