Anna M. Mylander

Anna M. Mylander, 88, formerly of Oak Harbor, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Sunday January 15, 2012, in Kingston Residence of Marion, Marion, Ohio. Anna was born in Marion on March 18, 1923, to James C. and Orpha E. Thompson Showers. On January 25, 1948, in Rocky Ridge, Ohio, she married Donald H. Mylander, who preceded her in death February 5, 1996. Anna retired in 1986 from Crescent Razor Blade Co. in Fremont, Ohio, after almost 35 years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge, where she sang in the choir and was active in the Dorcas Circle and the sewing quilt club. Survivors of Anna include her sisters, Nettie Messenger and Jennie Martin, brother, Walter Showers and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Bertha George and Dorothy Milligan, and brothers LeRoy Showers and Elzer Showers. Anna was loved by all. Friends may call from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at St. John Lutheran Church, 450 N. Rocky Ridge Rd., Rocky Ridge, Ohio. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Keith Baker. Interment will follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery in Oak Harbor. Memorials for Anna may be given to the church. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory of Oak Harbor has assisted the family with arrangements.
