Anna Lee Meckling, 84, of Woodville, Ohio, died Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at Bay Park Community Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. Anna was born April 7, 1934, in Swanton, Ohio, to John L. and Jessie (Gibson) Davidson. She was married to Ted Meckling, who preceded her in death in 1997. In her early years, Anna began working as a model. She later became a trainer for thoroughbred race horses, having been one of the top three trainers in the nation. Anna went on to be a home builder in Southern Ohio and then worked at the former Brush Wellman in Elmore. She retired at age 81 from working for the United States Post Office and the Hollywood Casino in Toledo. She is survived by her son, Jeff (Rhea) Meckling of Genoa and her grandson, Dustin. Her parents, husband, and step son, Ted, preceded her in death. There will be no services for Anna per the familys wishes. Cremation has taken place under the care of Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Genoa.
