Anna L. Demas Exceptional & Extraordinary Woman - Wife - Mother Anna was a fighter from the start! She was born in February 1946 in Fulda, West Germany. The hospital staff told her mother to leave her behind at the hospital since baby Anna was not going to survive. Her mother refused and took her home. We know that she grew to become a beautiful and loving person. What most do not know is that Anna went on to earn her master’s degree in business from Goethe University in Frankfurt. While in school she also received her welding certificate to help in her father’s steel construction business. She was also very accomplished seamstress and she greatly loved helping people. She was a volunteer at the Victory Center and was an Ambassador at the Toledo Museum of Art. Anna loved the TMA and Toledo Symphony and greatly enjoyed seeing so many world renowned performers over the years. She also loved to travel, particularly in Europe. She visited Moscow and Saint Petersburg, Prague, Paris, Innsbruck, Brussels, Munich, Berlin, London and many other cities. Our special thanks go to her nurse Katie, and nurse practitioner Tiffany at the Cleveland Clinic, for their loving care. Also thank you to to her home nurse, Katie, and all the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their wonderful care. She is survived by her husband Alex, daughter Alexandra, sisters Petra Dehler Udolph and Christine Nicholas and nephew Christian Nicholas and family all in Fulda, Germany. She was a fighter to the end and excelled at whatever she did! She will be greatly missed. Donations in her name can be sent to The Victory Center or the Ovarian Cancer Connection on Airport Highway.
