Anna M. Cashen, 92, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away, Sunday, October 7, 2012, at Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Anna was born June 23, 1920, in Curtice, Ohio, to Louis P. and Mary Madaras Liskai. She graduated in 1938 from Woodville High School and in 1952 married Paul W. Cashen, who preceded her in death June 30, 1962. Anna was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa and the Rosary Altar Society and sang in the church choir. Anna worked 11 1/2 years for Black Swamp Production Credit and, with her husband, at the former Cashens Market in Genoa. She also worked part time for 8 1/2 years at Bowling Green State University. Anna had also been a 4-H advisor for 12 years. Surviving Anna are her daughter, MaryAnn Cashen, and step son, William Cashen, both of Genoa, brother, George Liskai of Gibsonburg, and several nieces, nephews and special cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brothers, Joseph, Adam and Alexander, who are buried in Gyori, Hungary, her sister, Marie Arnold Misgasky, and brothers, Louis Viola Liskai, Stephen Margaret Liskai and Alexander Liskai. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Thursday, October 11, 2012, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH. Scriptures will be read at 7:00 p.m. and the Rosary to follow at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Memorials for Anna may be directed to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Grotto Fund, 204 Main St., Genoa, OH 43430.
