Ann Weber

Ann Weber, 88, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024 at Kingston Residence of Perrysburg while in loving hands of her caregivers of both Kingston and Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Ann was born on January 19, 1936 in Columbus, Ohio to parents Elmer and Martha Unverferth of Ottawa, Ohio. After graduation from both grade school and high school in Ottawa, she attended St. Mary’s of Norte Dame in South Bend, Indiana and completed her education at BGSU with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. Upon graduation, she taught first and second grades first at Trilby Elementary School and then in later years, having moved to Maumee, Ohio, she taught in the Maumee City School system, where her students enjoyed her as a substitute teacher. Ann and her family were fortunate to enjoy a beautiful home overlooking the Maumee River where family and friends gathered for holidays and many other fun occasions over the years.

Not to be forgotten is Ann’s love of tennis. She was a long-standing member of Laurel Hill Swim and Tennis Club in Maumee where she and close friend, Suzie Telljohann, were doubles partners. Ann enjoyed her many years and many friendships at Laurel Hill.

Ann was united in marriage to her loving husband, Roger, for 64 years, during which they experienced the love of three children; Steven (Lisa) Weber, Emily (Rob) Zammarchi, and Martha (Ron) Weber. Ann was blessed with her grandchildren, Kurt (Sam), Abby, Helena and Juniper. Ann held a cherished bond with her remaining sister, Mary Heringhaus. Ann also shared many fond memories with her husband Roger’s family, the Webers: Donald (Jeanie and then Mary), Dr. Norbert (Mary), Marjorie (George) Steingass, Gerald (Mary), Francis (Alice), Wilfred (Sally), Christian (Ann) and Eugene (Marilyn). Ann had a bountiful number of nieces and nephews who enjoyed Ann’s kindness and smiles. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Julia (Tom) Butler and Judge Tom (Mary) Unverferth.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00pm with a Scripture Service and memory sharing at 6:30pm at Maison Dardenne Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, OH 43537. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 19 at 10:30am in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W Broadway St, Maumee, OH 43537. Burial will be held privately at St. Joseph’s Catholic. Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
