Ann Glovacky, 90, of Marblehead, Ohio, died Sunday morning, January 15, 2012, at her home. She was born June 17, 1921, in Marblehead to George and Anna Pacheta Boytim. She married Mike Glovacky, who preceded her in death November 28, 1977. Ann retired after 41 years from the former Standard Products. She was a member of St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church in Marblehead and was and extraordinaire baker. Ann would bake for the local humane society, the church, family and friends. Gardening was one of her favorite pastimes as well where she has many favorite flowers that she loved to tend to. Ann is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Glovacky Berger and husband Joseph Berger of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 12 siblings. The Office of Christian Burial with Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church in Marblehead Saturday January 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with a Parastas service starting at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Marys Byzantine Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday January 20, 2012 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. with a Panachida service conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington St., Port Clinton. Memorials for Ann may be given to Stein Hospice or the donors choice.
