Davis Anita Mae On Friday, October 2, 2009, Anita Mae Abernathy Davis passed away at The Toledo Hospital after a long battle with ALS. Anita Mae Davis was born November 19, 1949, to the union of Edward and Reba Abernathy. Anita graduated from Woodward High School in 1967 and attended Davis College School of Business. She always had a strong work ethic, working 2 or 3 jobs at a time because she was dedicated to providing for her family and giving them the very best. Anita was most recently employed at Ford Motor Company and previously worked for Unicast formerly known as Midland Ross. Anita was a talented artist with beautiful undiscovered drawings. Shopping was a great passion of hers which was apparent by her very classy style. Anita always had a word of advice to give and was a very opinionated woman. Her compassionate side was shown when she affectionately, unselfishly cared for her mother for many years. Anita aggressively played the second mother to many of her nieces and nephews. She loved her grandchildren whom she lovingly referred to as her grandbabies. Anita is survived by mother, Reba Mae Abernathy; daughters, Kimberly Timothy Grable and Kasandra Grant; grandchildren: Kamaria Davis, Berry Grant IV, Timothy Grable Jr., and Kimora Davis; and siblings, Linda Williamson, Howard Abernathy, and Neal Terri Abernathy; sisters-in-law, Barbara Abernathy, Geraldine Gregory Butts, Nadine Davis, Charlotte Davis, Joanne Wright; brothers-in-law, Richard Davis, Michael Jennifer Davis, Kenneth Kay Davis, Doug Davis; and ex-husband, William J. Davis.
