Anita L. Rasmussen Brahier

Anita Louise Brahier, age 58 of Holland died Friday, June 8, 2018 at Ebeid Hospice with her family by her side. She was born in Toledo on December 29, 1959 to Karl and Joann (Bauer) Rasmussen. A graduate of Rogers High School, Anita married Richard Brahier on the stern of their boat at Kelleys Island. She was employed by Don-Ell Industries for over 20 years. Anita will best be remembered for her love of animals, of family, sailing the Lake Erie Islands and always as Schooner’s MOM, her African Gray Parrott. She enjoyed raising money for the annual Kelleys Island Make-A-Wish Swim and Golf Cart Poker Run. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Brahier; daughter, Jennifer (Dean) Croskey; son, James (Sherry) Griesinger; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild with 1 more on the way; brothers, Cary (Linda) and Keith (Laura) Rasmussen. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Joann and step-son, Nathan Brahier. Friends will be received on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 3-9 PM at Neville Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, Ohio 43528 (419-865-8879).
