Angela "Angie" C. Whitty

Angela C. Whitty, 51, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 11, 2022 at Majestic Care of Toledo.  Angie was born in Toledo on June 6, 1971, the daughter of James H. and Margaret A. (Langford) Whitty.

Angie was always a hopeful and optimistic soul, always looking for the positive in everyone and every situation. Her faith was very important and it led her to understand that we are not perfect, but we must strive to be better.  Reading the Bible and poetry were a great comfort to her, along with listening to country music, especially Melissa Etheridge.  She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice and lots of soul! Angie was silly and very creative she also loved her family and went all out to create lasting memories which meant spoiling her grandchildren. She  always created and gave gifts that had a special meaning to those who received them. Angie would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. When it came to sports, she was a very adamant Dallas Cowboys fan.

Angie is survived by her daughter, Maggie Whitty, grandchildren, Nathaniel Rafferty, Decker Wolfe and Melody Wolfe, along with her sister, Kimberly (Johnny) Salinas and brother, James Whitty III.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Michael Scott Martin and niece, Jordan Salinas.
