Angela J. White

Angela J. White, 70, of Genoa, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. Angela was born in Fostoria, Ohio on November 6, 1953, the daughter of Lyle C. and Bernadine (Reinhart) Reitzel. She met the love of her life, Charles White, and they were married on March 1, 1974, in Cincinnati, Ohio. They celebrated 46 years together, until his death on December 2, 2020.

Angela earned her nursing degree at the former Mercy College of Nursing, in Toledo and went on to earn her CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetists) certification. She worked for the former St. Luke’s Hospital, in Maumee, Ohio, for 21 years, retiring in 2022. Angela had previously worked at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, MI, Greene County Memorial Hospital in Xenia, Ohio, and Mt Carmel Hospital in Detroit, MI. She had also spent time as a traveling nurse. She had always liked to travel!

Angela was a very hardworking, generous person who was very selfless, always looking out for others, especially her family. To her, family was everything! She was a devout Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa. Angela had a special place in her heart for cats.

Angela is survived by her children, Jamal White, Aaron (Lisa) White and Alana (Tim) Plantz, grandchildren, Jamal, Jr., Teara, Katlyn, Alexis, Jordan, Angie, Amber, Melvin, Arianna, Aaron II, Charlotte, Walter, and Nicholas, great grandson, LiAngelo, siblings, John (Linda) Reitzel, Donald (Sandy) Reitzel, Bob (Cheryl) Reitzel, Terry (Bob) Warns, Mary (Brian) Hecker, Sue (Mark) Kutz, and Joan Fritsch. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday, November 14, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 S. Main St., Genoa, Ohio. Interment will follow in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. Family and friends are invited to a fellowship gathering in the church hall following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Living Christ Campaign, c/o The Diocese of Toledo, 1933 Spielbusch Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43604.
