Angela Marie Tierney

Angela Marie Tierney, age 31, formerly of Toledo, died tragically on February 28, 2016 in Sandusky, Ohio. Born April 17, 1984 in Toledo, she was a graduate of Bowsher High School and attended Owens Community College. Angie had most recently worked at Wal-Mart and was preparing to attend nursing school. She loved music and spending time with her family, but found her deepest fulfillment in caring for her son who was the light of her life. Angie is survived by her beloved son, Austin Joseph Close; mother, Christine Santoro, brother, Michael Tierney, Jr.; step father, Daniel Santoro; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Tierney, Sr.; grandmothers, Esther Carter and Sally LaForge; and grandfather, James Zeh. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-9 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave., Toledo, where funeral services will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016. Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family.
