Angela H Cook

Angela Helena Cook, age 103, of Maumee, beloved mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2008. Angela was born on September 16, 1904 to Ferdinand and Rose Renaux. Angela was the oldest of ten children. On March 21, 1929, she married Raymond Cook. He preceded her in death in 1963. Angela was a life long member of St. Josephs Church in Maumee Ohio and was a member of the St. Joseph Altar & Rosary Society and the 60 & Over Club. For many years, she was a matron at Wayne Trail School, where she enjoyed interacting with both the faculty and students. Angela enjoyed and cherished her family and friends and was always ready to help anyone. Many remember her talent for baking and the multiple cookies she made, especially during the Christmas season. Angela is survived by her daughters Sherrill Sattler of Maumee and Nancy Charles Sattler of Toledo, grandchildren Cathy Chuck Sisco of Maumee, Robert Sattler of Rowlett, Texas, Kim John Frautschi of Toledo, Lisa Simmons of Avon, Ohio and John Carla Sattler of, Bartlett, Illinois; grandchildren are Joan Steve Cherry, Karen Sisco, Bailey and Eric Sattler, Aimee and Erik Simmons, Trevor, Clair and Evan Sattler and great granddaughter, Alison Cherry. She is also survived by her sister, Rose Faulkner of Maumee and sister-in-law, Ellen Renaux of Maumee. In addition to her parents and husband, Angela was preceded in death by her, son-in-law Jerry Sattler, sisters Lorretta Renaux, Mary Stote, Ellen Reynolds, Edith Van Gunten, Ferdinand, John , Julius and Donald Renaux. Family and Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St, Maumee, on Monday from 2-8 pm with a scripture service at 7 pm. Funeral services will begin Tuesday in the funeral home at 2:00 pm followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at 2:30 pm at St. Josephs Church, 104 W. Broadway, Maumee. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery. Those wishing to express their sympathy may make contributions in her memory to St. Josephs Church in Maumee, Ohio.
