Andrew Joseph Stoll, Iii

Andrew Joseph Stoll, III, 81, of Parrish, FL passed away June 3. He was born October 28, 1942 to Marion (Walker) and Andrew Joseph Stoll, Jr. in Toledo, OH where he was raised with his brother, George. He attended DeVilbiss High School (class of 1961) and University of Toledo. He was a member of the 555th Band of the Great Lakes Air Force National Guard in Toledo, playing clarinet, from 1962 to 1968. He worked as a manufacturing process engineer for Owens Illinois in Toledo, and later, for Ford Motor Company in Milan, MI, from which he retired in 1999. In retirement, he pursued his passions of woodworking and music. He became a master woodworker, designing and building many pieces of beautiful furniture which will endure for generations in the homes of his friends and family. He played saxophone and clarinet in multiple bands, including the Sylvania Senior Center Band, Owens Community College Concert Band, Polish American Concert Band, Swingsters Dance Band, and several others after moving to Florida. He made many friends as a result of his musical pursuits.


He is survived by his wife of 9 years, Jan Miller, his brother George (Deborah) Stoll, his children Thomas (Shelley) Stoll, Kathy (Dave) Laraway and Laurie (Dan Trost) Aulls, grandchildren Noah (Anna Li), Matthew, Cooper, Owen, Gavin, Lilly, and Evan, and niece, Melinda (Nathaniel) Stahl.


Andy and Jan relocated in 2021 from the Toledo area to the Bradenton, Florida area where they enjoyed the warm weather, playing in numerous bands, and their corgi, Jack.


He will be remembered for his generosity, attention to detail, and love for his family.


Memorial services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Walker Funeral Home 5155 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH 43623; visitation 2:00 to 4:00 pm, service at 4:00 pm, and food to follow at Te’kela 5147 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the music education department at Toledo School for the Arts at the following link:
