Andrew Paul Smietanski

Andrew Paul Smietanski, 32, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed Tuesday, February 26, 2013, in University of Toledo Medical College. Andy was born June 11, 1980, in Toledo, Ohio, to William and Darlene Danko Smietanski. Andy was a kind and generous young man, who played classical guitar, studied WWII history and enjoyed the outdoors. He especially enjoyed spending time at the family cottage and exploring with his metal detector. Most of all, he loved his family and helped care for his grandparents in their final years. Andy will be deeply missed. He is survived by his parents, brother, Adam M. Heather Smietanski, niece, Adeline and brother, Thomas A. Sarai Smietanski, , aunts, Kathy Ed Kane and Barbara Gary Rabbitt and uncle, George Amy Danko. Andy is also survived by his cousins, Daniel Constance, Joseph, Nathan and Michael Kane, Natalie, Mason and Grace Rabbitt, Leah and Sam Danko, and his grandmother, Betty Smietanski. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Jeanne Smietanski and George and Carole Danko. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee. The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment will be private on Monday.
