Andrew John Nickoloff

Andrew Carl John Nickoloff age 81 of Maumee, OH passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2014 in his home. Andy was born in Lucas County on November 20, 1932 to Carl and Jennie Metoff Nickoloff. He was an Air Force Veteran. Andy was employed as a salesman for many years for various companies. Andy was a professional musician and played the drums in various types of bands. He was a member of the Lucas County Democratic Central Committee. Andy loved golfing and cooking and often cooked for fundraisers. He was an avid Detroit Lions, Tigers and Ohio State fan. Andy had a great sense of humor and always looked to find the lighter side of life. Surviving is his daughter, Karen Werner; sons, John, Greg Tereasa and Steven Katrina Nickoloff; sister, Sondra John Henry; grandchildren, Karlie Woodward, Michael Werner; step-grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Moore, Whitney, Micah and Kallie Thames; great-grandchildren, Benjamin Guest and Tara Rose Adler, and lifelong friend, Joyce Welker. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Maxi. In addition to his parents, Andy was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joy; son, Gary and Grandson, Zach Werner. A special thank you to Andys loving neighbors for their generosity and kindness. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, OH on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from 2-8 pm where services will be held on Friday at 10:00 am.
