Andrew David Demshok

Andrew David Demshok, 90, of Oak Harbor, died early Wednesday morning, April 10, 2013 at his sons residence with his loving family by his side. Andrew was born September 29, 1922, in Belle Valley, Ohio, to George P. and Mary M. Kauffman Demshok and graduated in 1941 from Danbury High School. Andrew served in the Army Air Corps during WWII with the 66th Troop Carrier Squadron. On March 3, 1962, in Sandusky, Ohio, he married Joyce L. Dillery and she preceded him in death in November 2006. After 43 years Andrew retired in 1984 as a supervisor from the former Standard Products. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Oak Harbor. Andrew enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to stay busy and would always be found tinkering with something. He is survived by his sons, Andy Christine Demshok of Oak Harbor, David Betty Lou Kinnison and Mark Kinnison both of Bainbridge, OH, Kenny Kinnison of Port Clinton, and daughter, Annette Larry Butler of Texas, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, and his brother, Joseph Charlotte Demshok of Marblehead. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter, Connie Hammons, and 13 brothers and sisters. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 12, 2013, by Rev. Father David Ritchie at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 Church St., Oak Harbor, beginning with prayers offered at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Roose Cemetery, Oak Harbor with military graveside services conducted. Memorials for Andrew may be directed to Hospice of Memorial Hospital, 430 S. Main St., Clyde, OH 43410; or St. Boniface Catholic Church Youth Center, 215 Church St., Oak Harbor, OH 43449.
