Andres Cantu

Andres Cantu, Jr., 77, of Port Clinton, Ohio passed away at his home on Friday, March 8, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 19, 1946 in Alice, Texas, a son of the late Andres and Estanislada (Guterriez) Cantu. He married Dawn Renee (Pugh) and she survives.

After graduating from Fremont Ross High School, Andy went to CNC Operator school and worked in a factory and also in construction. Outside of working, he enjoyed riding his Harley, going fishing, playing pool, gardening, camping, hanging out with his friends and hiking with his family. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife, Dawn; son, Michael (Keri) Pugh, Littleton, Colorado; grandchildren, Jackson and Ashley; sister, Rebecca (Lupe) Cardenas, Wichita, Kansas; brothers, Ramiro (Mary) Cantu, Fremont, Ohio, Roy (Maggy) Cantu, Fremont, Ohio, and Efrain (Jackie) Cantu, Clyde, Ohio; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill (Donna) Cooley and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Grace (Wayne) Taft; and brother, Rene (Maria) Cantu.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 2:30 pm at Riverview Cemetery in Port Clinton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor’s Choice. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
