In loving memory of Andres Alvarez Pita

Andres Alvarez Pita, 19, was born on November 21, 2006, in Santiago de Chile. Andres passed away on August 15, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and an immeasurable amount of love in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Andres was truly one of a kind, not only was he an incredibly loving person, but his heart always had room for one more. His sense of humor made him so uniquely himself, and he had a smile that could make everyone else around him smile too. Andres could find a way to make people laugh even during difficult moments, and his sarcastic, sometimes crazy sense of humor will be remembered by everyone who shared those moments with him.

Andres had a natural ability to make people feel heard. Anytime someone needed a listening ear, he was there. He never made anyone feel less than they were, and his way of making people feel comfortable allowed them to be completely themselves. He listened without judgment and always seemed to know what to say. Andres' advice came from a place of genuine understanding and care. His ability to make people feel seen and understood was just one of the many things that made him so special.

Andres loved to laugh and smile, and loved experiencing life. His interests included making and listening to new music, cooking, playing basketball, video games, and he was always finding new things to try. He had a passion for trying new things and a drive to accomplish whatever he put his mind to. If Andres wanted something, he was determined to make it happen. You may remember his "Andres Burger" venture in middle school, or have found him tinkering with your electronics if left unattended for too long. That determination was a part of who he was and showed how deeply he cared about the things that mattered to him.

Andres had a big heart with so much room for the people he loved. He shared a special bond with his parents, Miguel and María Jose, and his brothers, Alejandro and Jose Miguel. He also shared a deep and loving relationship with his girlfriend, Aleigh Collins. His family and the people closest to him meant so much to him, and they will carry his love with them through all the memories they shared. Andres made the people he loved feel valued, cared for, and truly important, and that love will remain in their hearts forever.

Andres never failed to make friends. It was difficult not to love Andres once you got to know him. He had a way of bringing people together through his humor, kindness, and genuine personality. Among his closest friends were Ameer Albadour, Gabe Skinner, and Andy Caillaux, with whom he shared countless memories, laughter, and experiences that will never be forgotten.

Andres also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, Samba and Lua, who brought him happiness, companionship, and a lot of shared naps.

Andres had so much love to give. He gave that love freely to his family, his friends, and anyone lucky enough to meet him. His life touched more people than he may have ever realized, and each person who knew him carries a different piece of him with them.

Although his life was far too short, the impact Andres made cannot be measured by the number of years he was here. He will live on in the stories people tell, the laughter that comes from remembering him, the music he loved, the conversations people will never forget, and in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Andres will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
