Andrea Lynn Solis-Dalrymple

Andrea L.Solis-Dalrymple, 39, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, after an extended illness, Saturday, February 09, 2013 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH, surrounded by her loving family. Andrea was born on January 19, 1974 in Port Clinton, OH, the only daughter of Steve and Irene Riojas Solis. On April 05, 2008 in Port Clinton, OH at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, she married David Dalrymple and he survives. Andrea started her career teaching pre-school at Trinity United Methodist Church, Port Clinton, OH, from there she taught at Barker Junior High School in Sandusky, OH. Most recently, she taught at Bataan Elementary, Port Clinton, OH, as a 3rd grade teacher. Everything she did, above all else, focused on her family and her many students. Before Andrea got sick she loved anything to do with fitness. She loved her Catholic faith, nature, traveling to all the National Parks, especially Mt. Rushmore in South Dakota, where she had planned to retire. Andrea was very creative doing bead work, making rosaries, cards, cake decorating and puzzles of all kinds. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Husband: David Dalrymple; Parents: Steve Solis and Irene Solis; Maternal Grandparents: Jose T. Riojas and Maria L. Quiroga Riojas: Mother-in-law: Kathleen Dalrymple and many loving aunts, uncles cousins. Andrea was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Renulfo Refugio Solis and father-in-law: Walter Dalrymple. Visitation will be 2-8pm, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted by Father John Missler at 10:00am, Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Andrea may be given to the family.
