Amy M. Wieczorek age 64 of Toledo passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Arbors of Sylvania. She was born February 11, 1948 in Toledo to Wallace and Marcella Wieczorek. She retired as a clerk for the Lucas County Board of Developmental Disabilities. In her younger years Amy enjoyed bowling and riding every roller coaster at Cedar Point. She also enjoyed playing pool, throwing darts and going to movies. Amy was a strong person making every effort to do things for herself even though her physical condition was declining. She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew. She is survived by her 92 year old mother, Marcella; brother Anthony Jeanne Wieczorek; sisters Patricia John Diehl, Annette Lohner and Machelle Rick Meeker; 1 niece; 4 nephews; and 6 great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey on Thursday from 2-8 PM where funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Hydrocephalus Association, 870 Market St. Suite 705, San Francisco, CA 94102.
