Aminta Diaz-Duffett

Aminta "Rose" Diaz-Duffett, 67, of Port Clinton, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026. She was born on December 15, 1958, in Maracaibo, Venezuela, to the late Eduardo and Aminta Diaz.

Rose married Edward Duffett in 1984 and together they shared more than 45 years of love and memories before he preceded her in death in March 2026.

Rose moved to the United States when she was 9 years old. She went on to attend college, studying interior design, before finding her calling at the American Girl Doll Call Center, where she worked in the customer service department for almost 20 years.

She and Edward had two children, Bristel and Lance and raised their family in Silver Lake, WI. Family was the center of Rose's life, and she always made sure her loved ones were her first priority. She had a passion for cooking, decorating for any and every occasion, and gardening alongside her husband. Rose loved finding a good deal and enjoyed going thrifting whenever she could, often turning it into a full day of fun. In her free time, she loved spending time with her children and watching Spanish cooking shows, and enjoyed all kinds of music, her favorite was the Carpenters.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Bristel Duffett; her brothers, Eduardo Diaz and Frank Diaz; and her sister, Carmen Diaz-Melendez. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Duffett; her son, Lance Duffett; and her sister, Pearl Seaberg.

Rose leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love, family, and memories that will be treasured by those who were fortunate enough to know her. Services will be held privately for her family.
