Amanda M. Harvey

Amanda Meighan Engle Harvey, 33, of Port Clinton, passed away, Thursday, August 03, 2011 at her residence with her family by her side. Mandy was born on October 24, 1977 in Marysville, OH, the daughter of William M. and Sally Ann Davis Engle. Mandy worked as a hairstylist and also helped with catering at Chefsbest. On October 16, 1999 in Urbana, OH, she married Joseph Allen Harvey. Mandy was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Port Clinton, OH. She was the founder of the Caps for a Cure, supplying chemo caps for cancer patients. Mandy was a member of the organizational committee for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life; Celebration of Life. She loved knitting, painting, crafts, reading and photography. Her greatest love though was spending time with her family and friends and helping others in any way she could. Mandy will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends. Survivors include: Loving Husband: Joseph Allen Harvey; Sons: Patrick Joseph Harvey, Jacob Brooks Harvey & Chandler Michael Harvey; Parents: William Michael & Sally Ann Davis Engle; Brother: Scott Michael Lisa Engle; Nephew: Chris Engle; Nieces: Josie Kennaw & Baileigh Engle; Father & Mother-in-Law: Kelly Monk & Carolyn Harvey; Sister & Brother-in-Law: Todd & Debi Harvey Heiks: Niece: Demi Heiks; Nephew: Tyler Heiks; Sister & Brother-in-Law: Scott & Barbara Harvey Distel; Niece: Amanda Distel; Nephew: Matthew Distel; Aunt & Uncle: Timothy & Cindy Engle; Aunt: Deborah Black; Aunt & Uncle: Karen Engle Huffman & Robert Huffman: Cousins: Shawn Vicki Stultz, Shannon Black, Nicholas Emili Engle, Heather Brian Solar and Joseph Musser: Third Father: John Couture. Mandy was preceded in death by her grandparents: John & Alvaretta Davis, Joan & Bill Engle and uncle: William John Davis. Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8PM, Friday, August 5, 2011 in the Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH. Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Peter Dodd at 11:00AM, Saturday, August 6th at the funeral home. Interment will be at Sackett Cemetery, Marblehead, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Mandy may be given to a Scholarship Fund being established for her children.
