Alvin G. Krueger Sr. went to be with his Lord on June 6, 2008. He was 90 years young. Alvin was born to Ernest and Emelia Krueger in East Toledo, Ohio on October 13, 1917. He married Hilda Morse on October 18, 1947. Al was a tool and die maker by trade, later joining his brother and father in running the family owned Toledo Cut Stone before returning to his trade until he retired. He resided for many years at Sand Beach, Oak Harbor, Ohio before moving to Toledo where he was co-owner of a family owned orchard. He then moved to Tucson, Arizona, but returned to Toledo in the late 90s to be closer to family and friends. Al was so proud of his job as a volunteer at Bay Park Community Hospital where he spent every Friday morning until he was physically unable to continue. He was a devout Christian, a loving father and husband, proud of his extended family, a loyal friend, and truly a gentle man. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brother Arland and sister Erdine. He is survived by his children, Marilyn Gary Walker, Amy Krueger, and Alvin Krueger Jr.; his grandchildren, Keith Katy Walker, Kristen Matt Crandall, Alvin Krueger, III and Josh Krueger; 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Mary Jo Borer. Als family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, June 14, beginning at 10 AM at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., where a memorial service will begin at 11 AM. Online condolences may be offered at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com. Any tributes in memory of Al may be given to the charity of the donors choice.
