Alsace Sexton

Alsace L. Alice Sexton, age 86, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2007, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1920, in Gatliff, Kentucky to George and Bertha Childress. Alsace was in the housekeeping department at the former Mercy Hospital in the 1960s. She was also active in Great Light Tabernacle Church. The widow of James A. Sexton, she was also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 1 brother. Surviving are sons, George Donna, Jim Anna, and Bob Regina Sexton; daughters, Alice Paul Gartee and Betty Ray Dickens; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grand-children; 2 great-great-grand-children; brothers, Clint, Bill and Ted Childress; sisters, Stella, Pearl and Ruth, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may visit Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave., west of Corey where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
