Alma Jean (Hetrick) Wolf, 83, died on October 9, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born to Ira and Mildred (Strauch) Hetrick on September 18, 1932 in Oak Harbor, Ohio. She was baptized on October 22, 1932 at the former St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lindsey, Ohio. After graduating from Harris Elmore High School in 1950 , she moved to Fremont, Ohio and resided with a great- aunt. She worked as a payroll clerk for two years at H.J. Heinz Company in Fremont, Ohio. Alma later took a position with the former Ohio Fuel and Gas Company in Fremont, Ohio as a steno clerk and after her marriage she transferred to the Toledo office. With the birth of her sons, she became a stay at home mom, bookkeeper, and farm help mate for her husband. She had a green thumb for gardening and flowers. She enjoyed playing euchre, bowling, doing puzzles, and crocheting in her past time. Life was great, until a few years ago when it became more of a struggle due to Parkinson’s Disease. Alma was a member of Zoar Lutheran Church, a former Esther Church Circle member, and a member of the Ag-Wood Farm Council. She is survived by her husband Harold Wolf, whom she met at Meadowbrook Park in Bascom, Ohio. She married Harold on August 18, 1956. Also surviving are her sons: Thomas A. (Carol) Wolf of Pemberville, Ohio and James H. (Sue) Wolf of Bowling Green, Ohio, Grandchildren, Andrew (Michele) Wolf, Matthew (Erin) Wolf, Adam Wolf, and special granddaughter Amy Wolf, three Great-Grandchildren, MacKenzie, Cassidy, and Jack Wolf, Siblings, Marilyn (Jim) Hoover of Tiffin, Ohio, Beatrice Neuman of Findlay, Ohio, Ruth (Doug) Ray of Lindsey, Ohio, and Connie (Ray) Schultz of Twin Valley, MN., Sisters-In-Laws, Madelyn Hetrick, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Margaret Sheldrick, of Perrysburg, Ohio, Dorothy Brunning of Pemberville, Ohio, and Betty Wolf of Perrysburg, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Mildred Hetrick, Brother, Donald Hetrick of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Brothers-In-Law Keith Smith of Gibsonburg, Ohio and Arnold Wolf of Perrysburg, Ohio. Friends and Family will be received on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 222 E. S. Boundary, Perrysburg (419-874-3133) from 3-8 P.M. and on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 from 10-11 AM at Zoar Lutheran Church followed by the funeral service at 11 AM with Pastor Timothy Philabaum officiating. Burial will be in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery, Dowling. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Zoar Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
