Alma Bernice Leffler Jaegly, age 94, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 22, 2017. Alma was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on January 13, 1923, to Charles and Hildegarde (Roth) Stroud. She was employed as a secretary at the Rossford Ordinance Depot for many years and later, at the Hampton Inn. Alma was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Maumee, Ohio. She enjoyed spending time with her family, ceramics, cake decorating, baking, reading, puzzles, sewing, quilting, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. Surviving is her son, Robert D. (Jan) Jaegly; daughter, Jill A. (Kevin) Irwin; daughter in-law, Nora Jaegly; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Marjorie Ferne DesRoches, Suzan Westmeyer, Nancy Reyes, and Charlene Creswell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Jaegly, daughter, Rebecca Couch; son, Peter J. Jaegly, and siblings, Janet Wilkinson, Rosemary McVicker, Charles Douglas Stroud, James Stroud, Rita Nadine Day, Mary Kathleen Stroud, Phyliss Joan Stroud, Ruthann Knapp, John Stroud, and Jerald Stroud. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, from 3-8 PM, with a scripture service beginning at 7:00 PM. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Maumee.
