Alma Barbe

Alma Barbe, age 94, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2016 in Toledo, Ohio. She was born November 18, 1922 in Oakfield to the late John Milton Barbe and Levina (McHenry) Barbe. She was also preceded in death by her brother Robert M. Barbe and sister Marie Wild. Alma graduated from Bristol High School. She retired after a 45 year career at The Second National Bank of Warren (Huntington Bank) in 1987. Alma was an active member of North Bristol Christian Church. She taught Sunday School and helped with the monthly church suppers. Alma was a member of the Tuesday Ladies Craft Club of Bristol and the Bristol Historical Society. Survivors include her brother Richard W. Barbe (Carol) of Willoughby, sister Joann Barbe of Toledo, brother-in-law Robert G. Wild of Toledo, numerous nieces and nephews, a great-niece and four great-nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the North Bristol Christian Church, 1955 Hyde Oakfield Road, Bristolville, OH 44450, where family and friends are invited to visit beginning at 11:30 a.m. Interment will take place at Sager Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church.
