Alliene L. Sabo

Alliene (Ham) Sabo, age 92, passed away March 27, 2024, surrounded by love at Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

She was a resident of Perrysburg, Ohio, born November 8, 1931, to Donald and Blanche (Pennington) Ham.

She graduated from Perrysburg High School and attended North Western School of Practical Nursing, working part time until 1957.

She married Ernest Sabo of Perrysburg, Ohio in 1951. Together they raised four sons. Alliene was a great boy mom, she always referred to her sons as “My Boys”.

She practiced and taught Reiki Healing and loved working with the students and many of them had been friends throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by Ernest, her husband of 60 years; infant son, Craig; infant granddaughter, Kaili; grandson, Aaron; brother, Leon; and sister Evelyn. She is survived by sons, Steven (Kathleen) Sabo, Gary Sabo, Neil (Chris) Sabo, and Dante Sabo. Alliene is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kristi (Joel), Dustin, Ryan (Ali), Emily (Casey), Shawn (Lindsay), Carrie (Ryan), Tom (Maria); thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Alliene enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, learning new things and most of all being with those who made her laugh. Special thanks to Cathy Carr, Chris, Sierra and Araya Benner for their love and joy in her life.

Alliene made such a difference in so many people’s lives.

Funeral services will be held privately at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery in Perrysburg, OH. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Alliene’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
