Allen Bryan Rutherford, 67, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born August 25, 1950 in Lake City, TN to Ralph and Betty (Owens) Rutherford. Bryan was a graduate of Whitmer High School and then married Kitty Dillard in 1969. He retired as a diesel mechanic with the Chrysler-Jeep Toledo Assembly Plant and was a member of the UAW Local 12. His family was his life, he was a friend to everyone he met. Bryan loved to travel, take Sunday drives, loved Tennessee, and really enjoyed playing and listening to music with his family and friends. He also was a great admirer of cars. Bryan was all inclusive, anyone was welcome at his table. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Amy (Brad) Schuchert and Kami (Brad) Martz; grandchildren, Cody, Rylee and Cade Schuchert and Blair Martz; sisters, Vickie (Jack) Millner and Patty (Tom) Schrader; sisters-in-law, Donna (Dave) Mullins and Teresa Honisko; step-father, Julius Parrish; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Kitty Lou; brothers, Roger and Ralph; brother-in-law, Jack Honisko; and father and mother-in-law, Robert and Ethel Dillard. Family and friends may visit on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, OH 43623. Services to celebrate Bryans life will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
